I have been involved in interior textiles, in one way or another, all my working life.  After graduating in printed textiles, my first job was as a colourist for a major british interior fabrics company.  Four years later I was winging my way to New York, to open and manage a colouring and design studio, based in Manhattan and Connecticut, working for an Australian textile converter, alongside licencees, producing bedding, wallcoverings, etc.  This job took me to print mills across the States, Turkey, and back to the UK, to oversee print production.

On my return to the UK, I set up home in the East Midlands, working as a freelance textiles consultant, heavily involved in the developing and production of print ranges for major interior brands.  During this time I began to work more and more on art direction & styling jobs, predominantly with those same brands, often going straight from creative development of the product, through to art direction and styling of the range.  I took a break from freelancing to take up the position of Creative Brand Manager of the new Walker Greenbank brand Scion, and had a key role in its development, from conception, design and colouration, to art direction and styling.

After 3 years, I returned to freelancing, and although still involved in development of ranges for several companies, I now spend more time on art direction and styling.  Clients include: Harlequin, Morris & Co, Scion, Sanderson, Zoffany, Blinds2Go, The Design Archives, Brewers, John Lewis, Alpha Designs Upholstery, Bedeck, Brink & Campman, Vitra Bathrooms, Utopia Bathrooms, Axminster, and Starbucks.

Midlands based, I am happy to travel. I am experienced in working with the client to fulfill a brief, from initial budget through to resource management, including location sourcing, set build, make-up, photography & logistics.

Years of prop sourcing and buying (and an inability to let some things slip through my fingers), has enabled me to build a prop hire company, Frog & Lock, which I run in conjunction with my husband from our Leicester base…but that’s a whole other story!
