I’m Jess. I’ve currently left my job as Display Manager at Harvey Nichols, to pursue a career in interior styling. In taking the leap into freelancing, I’m hoping to share my skill-set & be of assistance whilst immersing myself into the world of interiors.
My role at HN involved not only ensuring all visual aspects of the store looked incredible (the part we all enjoy), but also managing the logistical implications of all projects for the display team. Leading a team of 14 meant I had to be organised and reliable to ensure workflow was delegated in the most effective manner.
I have experience in visual merchandising, pop-up styling, event set up, product placement & styling, window dressing as well as sourcing materials, props & awareness of how to keep to a budget. I’m an avid DIYer and am no stranger to power tools. (The best gift I was given last year was a basic electrics course).
Currently, I’m slowly renovating our new home and have found this a brilliantly inspiring way to delve into interiors. I am looking to extend my profesional experience so if you have any projects were you need an extra hand, please keep me in mind. I’m based in London and have a very flexible schedule at the minute.
